WINTER IS JUST A FEW MONTHS AWAY ARE YOU READY?

With all the rain we have had recently, it is a good idea to check your attic for leaks. You have a very short window of opportunity in the month of November to accomplish any repairs as it is not a good idea to install a roof in the winter. We always recommend a tear off as opposed to a re-roof simply because going over shingles does not allow you to address serious issues that can come back to haunt you years later. The up front costs are more, but future problems could cost even more and ussually do. You might want to consider adding insulation at this time as well.

You have two more months to install energy efficient windows that will qualify for the Federal tax credit of up to $1,500.00 or 30% of the first $5,000.00 of window cost, NOT labor. Since windows are custom made and ussually take 4-6 weeks, you will want to make some quick decisions if you want the tax credit for this year.
